    Description

    We are looking to hire an experienced IT Manager to join our team. This position is an onsite position at our Head Office in Dartmouth, NS . As an IT Manager at Hercules Group of Companies, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the technological infrastructure of our organization. You will lead a team of IT professionals to manage our systems and networks, ensure security, and drive innovation in our IT strategies.

    • Principle Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the IT department, ensuring high performance and alignment with the company's objectives.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive IT policies and systems to meet company needs.
  • Develop and enhance IT department KPI's
  • Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage IT projects, supervise system upgrades, and handle hardware and software installations.
  • Direct and organize IT-related workflows, manage departmental budgets, and control costs.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols and disaster recovery systems to mitigate risks and ensure data security.
  • Liaise with other departments and external vendors to integrate and align IT with business goals.
  • Provide technical support, training, and guidance to employees.
  • Stay abreast of technology trends and developments to drive innovation within the company.

    • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in an IT leadership role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
  • Expertise in data center management and data governance.
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in project management, with the ability to lead and manage large IT projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and be insurable
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
