Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Support students in instruction as well as social and behavioral needs

Provide english language support and classroom support

Encourage positive interactions between students and staff

Work closely and collaboratively with school staff including, but not limited to, classroom teachers and administration

Position may include activities such as lifting, transferring, and providing personal care, as necessary

Skills and Competencies:

Strong communication skills; written, verbal and reading

Excellent problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills

Preferred Educational Requirements and Certifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum requirement from accredited institution

Post-secondary education and previous experience is an asset

A combination of relevant training, education and experience may be considered
Successful applicants will be required to submit before start date:

Current Criminal Record Check (CRC) with Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)

Original document reported within the last 6 months of hire date; condition of employment
