Job Overview:

Reporting to the Executive Chef, this person will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction goals by preparing food as per the specifications, setting up stations for the menu and assisting the Executive Chef with daily tasks.

Specific duties would include, but are not limited to:

Prepare food for service and cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
Responsible for opening and/or closing of the kitchen.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Stock inventory appropriately.

Job Qualifications:

Postsecondary Hospitality Degree or Equivalent.
Minimum 3 years previous work experience in a similar work environment; experience in a private club an asset.
Breakfast experience preferred.
Food Handler Certification Required.
Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Ability to work early shifts, be flexible, and handle stress.
Knowledge of Health and Safety Sanitation Standards.
Excellent communication skills (speak, read and write).
