Division

The Community Service Division strengthens Ontario's communities and enhances the quality of life for a variety of vulnerable adults and their families by leading the transformation, development and prudent stewardship of programs, policies and services.

Working with accountable transfer payment partners, the division's programs support people with developmental disabilities, women experiencing violence, people who are deaf-blind, people with hearing loss, Indigenous people and people impacted by human trafficking.

Collaboration with other divisions and Ministries helps integrate programs and services across systems both to ease people's major life transitions and better meet the full range of needs for these diverse populations.

The Branch

The focus of the Developmental and Supportive Services Branch (DSSB) is providing a province-wide, continuous improvement lens to program and service delivery, and managing the division's residential and directly funded programs for Developmental Services.

The branch provides inter-divisional guidance on common practices and structures for business analysis and process design, lead service delivery contracting and management and advise on a holistic picture of the service delivery value chain, including providing a systemic lens to service and program design.
