    Sous Chef: Your West Coast
    Adventure Awaits

    Nootka Marine Adventures. If you love the remote outdoors and delighting
    customers, this position may be for you

    We are dedicated to preserving the timeless art of sport fishing
    while nurturing the next generation of anglers. Our mission is to provide an
    unparalleled luxury fishing experience that not only immerses our guests in the
    natural beauty of our surroundings but also instills a deep appreciation for
    fishing and the environment.

    This full-time position has an anticipated
    start date of approximately June 1 st , 2024, and an end date of
    approximately September 30th, 2024.Contract length is subject to change
    based on the location and the demands of the season.

    Get to know us:

    Drive west
    along one of the most scenic highways in Canada through the spectacular
    mountainous landscape of Strathcona Park and the village of Gold River towards Tahsis.
    Approximately 2 hours by road from
    Campbell River on Vancouver Island is Moutcha Bay Resort , on the waters
    ofNootka Sound.

    Requirements for Sous Chef:

    · You have a
    Red Seal Certification or equivalent.

    · Excellent
    kitchen management and leadership skills.

    · Computer
    literacy including a strong grasp of Microsoft Work, Outlook, Excel, and
    Teams.

    · Food Safet
    Level 2

    · WHIMIS
    Certification

    · Ability to
    life 30lbs and stand for prolonged periods in close proximity to others.

    Duties of Sous Chef:

    · Prepare menu
    items for guests using standard recipes in an efficient manner to standard.

    · Prepare
    ingredients, set up stations, and stock supplies.

    · Clean,
    sanitize, sweep, mop, dishwash, and complete all cleaning duties as
    required.

    · Employee
    training, onboarding, coaching, and communication of processes, procedures,
    expectations, and best practices.

    · Ensure
    production, preparation and presentation is of the highest quality at all
    times.

    · Maintain a
    positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests.
