The AskHealth team ensures Manitobans have access to timely, accurate and credible information about their health system, by responding to public inquiries on behalf of the Premier, Minister and other senior officials, managing communications regarding ministerial board appointments/ revocations, developing Ministerial (and other senior official) speaking notes and creating and managing content on the department's website.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Undergraduate degree in communications or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in writing and editing documents for a variety of audiences.
- Ability to pay attention to details to ensure accuracy of work.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to respond to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrates strong political acumen.
- Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement using strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Understanding of the organization and administration of the Manitoba health care system.
