The Role


Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Visual Design Lead at Trail Appliance is a pivotal role responsible for spearheading art direction and design execution to produce captivating materials aligned with the brand's identity and communication objectives.

This dynamic position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful visual solutions that integrate seamlessly into overarching strategies. The Visual Design Lead maintains brand consistency, engages stakeholders, and collaborates closely with content creators.

Beyond design, the role encompasses project management, workspace optimization, and adherence to company guidelines, all contributing to the advancement of Trail Appliance's brand across a diverse range of design initiatives.


What you will be doing

  • Lead, supervise, and execute art direction, graphic design, and digital design processes to deliver visually captivating materials.
  • Develop and refine creative concepts, ensuring alignment with the brand's visual identity and communication goals.
  • Spearhead the creation of engaging visuals for diverse marketing campaigns, including digital ads, social media content, print materials, and website design.
  • Collaborate closely with leaders from Marketing, Product Development, and Sales to comprehend their objectives and translate them into effective visual solutions.
  • Guarantee seamless alignment of creative and campaign directions with the overarching product strategy and promotional calendar.
  • Foster robust working relationships with crossfunctional teams to gather insights and inputs informing the design process.
  • Lead the creative interpretation of the brand across all marketing executions and platforms, ensuring consistency and cohesiveness.
  • Maintain a profound understanding of the brand's values, messaging, and visual identity, infusing these elements into every design project.
  • Present design work and communicate visual direction and execution to key stakeholders and leadership.
  • Proactively seek feedback and establish alignment on design choices, integrating input to refine and enhance creative outcomes.
  • Collaborate with content creators and copywriters to ensure seamless integration of visual elements and written content for a cohesive brand message.
  • Work across functions to maintain consistency and alignment of copy and content with the brand's tone and messaging.

To be successful in this role, you ideally have

  • 3+ years of Graphic Design/

Art Direction Experience:
Demonstrated expertise as a Graphic Designer/Art Director with a compelling portfolio showcasing proficiency and creativity.

  • Retail/

Agency Experience:
Prior experience in Art Direction/design within retail and/or agency environments to understand industry dynamics.

  • Degree in Design: Essential degree in Design showcasing a robust foundation in design principles.
  • In-

House Team Experience:
Experience collaborating with in-house teams, contributing to effective teamwork.

  • Presentation and

Communication Skills:
Outstanding presentation and communication abilities to articulate visual direction and ideas effectively.

  • Project Management: Capacity to manage tight deadlines, multitask, and uphold attention to detail.
  • Creative Expertise: Proven mastery of the creative process, marketing, graphic design, and brand development.
  • Results-Oriented and Detail-Driven: Resultsoriented mindset with meticulous attention to detail, emphasizing quality and value.
