Smith School of Building Technology is looking for qualified Part-time, Partial Load and Sessional Professors to teach courses in the Building Information Modeling and Integrated Practice program.

Qualifications

GENERAL

QUALIFICATIONS

Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
Excellent communicator
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
Strong computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required
Teaching experience with hybrid and/or online delivery preferred
Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets

SPECIFIC

QUALIFICATIONS

Postsecondary 3year diploma/degree in Architecture/Architectural Technology or a related area with BIM knowledge and experience
Minimum 35 years' experience in Architecture or related construction discipline
An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
Current knowledge and experience using BIM to deliver projects
Experience in design and project delivery using BIM methods and platforms
Intermediate to advanced REVIT knowledge
Virtual Design and Construction experience as a consultant or project manager is an asset
