    MINISTRY FOCUS: LifeKids Ministry at Orleans Campus

    PURPOSE STATEMENT: The role of the Ministry Assistant is to assist in the LifeKids ministry at our Orleans Campus and to provide support. This will require a passion for LifeKids and families both in our church and in our city. This role requires a strong team dynamic, a firm grasp of the culture and vision of Lifecentre, as well as a strong leadership gift that encourages and resources leaders and teams in growing together with Jesus to make a difference in our city.

    SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Able to support and inspire teams to accomplish a mission
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects/systems simultaneously
    • Results-focused with interpersonal skills adaptable to a variety of personalities and situations
    • Professional in speech, conduct and presentation, worthy of representing Lifecentre well in all organizational and city-wide interactions
    • Is currently (or willing to become) a member of Lifecentre

    RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary duties are to provide support to the pastoral leadership in weekly LifeKids ministries at the Orleans Campus. This involves planning, preparing and executing events, and cultivating a strong relational and spiritual connection to our LifeKids and the families of the Orleans Campus.

    The LifeKids Assistant's main focus of responsibilities include:

    Responsible for upholding Biblical priorities and core values of Lifecentre. All staff should represent a growing personal relationship with Jesus, model a strong relationship with their spouse and children (if applicable) and strive to fulfill his or her purpose in life and ministry while demonstrating integrity in words, relationships and actions.

    2. Assist LifeKids Services/ Event Environments 70%

    Responsible to support the building and leading of the LifeKids environments and experiences at the Orleans Campus from nursery to grade five with a goal to reach as many LifeKids as possible. This will require a firm grasp on biblical truths, culture, Lifecentre's mission, vision, and values, as well as the ability to work in a team dynamic with staff, LifeKids and adult volunteers in the LifeKids ministry.

    3. Provide Administrative Support to the LifeKids Ministry 30%

    Responsible to support and to run point (upon request) on the planning, organization and execution of LifeKids ministry services and events.

    APPENDIX A

    • Participating in a Lifecentre LifeGroup on a regular basis
    • Setting appropriate boundaries to protect character and integrity
    • Developing personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church
    • Modelling servanthood and generosity through time, talent and treasure
    • Adhering to and encompassing the qualities and characteristics required of Lifecentre employees, as defined by the Lifestyle Manual.
    • Connect, love and encourage LifeKids
    • Responsible for supporting the planning, developing and execution of LifeKids services
    • Assist in the planning and executing of creative elements to complement the theme and teaching each week
    • Ability to teach and lead small, medium and large group settings (as needed and required)
    • Support hands-on opportunities to express love to our LifeKids through connection, care and follow-up.

    C. Provide Administrative Oversight to the LifeKids Ministry

    • Support the execution of major LifeKids campus events.
    • Support the preparation, planning and organizing of crafts, games, services and events.
    • Support the preparation of the rooms and facility for LifeKids services and events.
