Oakley Industries Sub Assembly Division, Inc. is an automotive sub-assembler of tire and wheel assemblies.

Oakley has been in business for over 37 years and we operate eight plants in the Midwest area including the United Sates and Canada.


Summary/Objective


The electro-mechanical technician is responsible for performing both independently and in a team environment to accomplish highly specialized technical duties to design, install, program, maintain, troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment.

Maintain high standards and systems with respect to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes.


Essential Functions

  • Perform functions including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic repairs of production machines.
  • Support the engineering, programming and design of automation, controls and electrical system strategies with associated PLC & other mechanical processes.
  • Review and maintain feasibility to determine applicable use of technology in enabling operations to run at optimal conditions of safety, capacity and quality.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems on the lines, trailers and other equipment. Replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
  • Work with management team on a daily basis by planning, coordinating, controlling and monitoring complex projects.
  • Partner with quality on capability issues or equipment problems that are noticed in production equipment.
  • Work with outside contractors as needed in determining scope of work, duration and cost. Monitor and direct project team to completion.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Update and complete daily logs and preventative maintenance schedules as required.
  • Maintain and implement lock-outs and safety procedures.
  • Implement changes that will decrease downtime.
  • Organize, maintain and reorder spare parts inventory.
  • Assist with training new employees and cross training as outlined in the training procedures.
  • Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal government regulations.

Education & Experience

  • Completion of training/certificate program in engineering, controls or related program. High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Four years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and industrial skills.

Pay:
$27.50-$32.50 per hour
