- Participate in process reviews, workflow analysis and redesign.
- Develop Request for Proposal documents, collaborating with users to define functional specifications and leading project team through the evaluation/selection of computer applications.
- Provide expertise in the evaluation and programming of computer applications, leading assigned team to facilitate implementation of applications.
- Coordinate the transition to live environment of business/clinical applications.
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot business/clinical applications
- Serve as a resources person, providing consultation and timely support to user groups.
- Serve as primary point of contact for internal resources, vendors, and users identifying and resolving issues, preparing and communicating routine reports.
- Perform audits as scheduled or requested and providing custom reports, including data and analysis of findings in a timely efficient manner.
- Maintain knowledge of current technology in the healthcare environment.
- Support and following all standards, policies and procedures set out by the organization.

- College diploma or university degree in Information Technology or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an information systems role.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently as a team member in a fast-paced environment in stressful situations.

- Knowledge of input and output devices including multi-functioning devices, scanners, printers, etc.
- Knowledge of interface configuration and design.
- Knowledge of reporting requirements for senior management, Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, and user group needs and business systems.
- Knowledge of MS SQL, MS Access, and Excel.
- Ability to create and deliver effective presentations for a group.
- Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills.

Purpose:
The Sault Area Hospital is seeking a motivated Information Systems Analyst. As the Information Systems Analyst you will be responsible for assisting in coordinating the planning, development, implementation, upgrading, support and evaluation of the Hospital Information System, its network, related interfaces and key users. In this role you will act as a liaison between hospital staff and system vendors to help with the translation between business concerns and technical issues.
