Our company is growing and we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player to join us as a
  • Material Handler at our Gilmore Project, in Burnaby. This is a full-time employment opportunity.


Reporting to the
_Senior Logistics Coordinator_, the Material Handler is responsible for ensuring that PMP meets the highest quality standards and that all personnel have the materials they need, in a timely fashion, to complete all assigned deadlines and inventory items are being accounted for and put in their designated areas.


Specifically, the Material Handler is responsible for:

  • Receive incoming items and send them to designated areas on-site to keep the work flowing
  • Unloading trucks and moving material to designated areas
  • Confirm received orders have arrived correctly and contact if short
  • Inventory control
  • Constantly strive to improve processes for the team
  • Coordinate material pickups and deliveries
  • Work with the Sr. Logistics Manager on Delivery Schedules
  • Perform other duties as required.

Skills & Requirements

  • Shipping & Receiving experience
  • Experience using forklifts and telehandlers
  • Previous construction and/or plumbing experience is considered an asset
  • Variable reach forklift and regular forklift tickets required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally is a must
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products is required
  • Ability to learn shop specific software would be an asset
  • Product knowledge of plumbing & mechanical components is considered a strong asset
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Able to multitask and prioritize

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
