The Vocational Rehabilitation Services Department provides a full range of Supported Employment and Supported Education services through vocational/educational assessment, employment/academic counselling, skills training, adult literacy, supporting college preparation courses and education upgrading services, work readiness programs, job development and job coaching services within a recovery oriented team environment.


  • Qualifications Required and Preferred
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, Adult Education or related field required
  • Registration with the College of Vocational Professionals (CVRP), Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada (VRA) or another professional college is preferred.
  • Min 2 years Vocational experience specifically working with persons afflicted with mental health/addictions issues or barriers to education/employment (preferably in a hospital setting)
  • Strong knowledge and commitment to the principles of Recovery, Individual Support and Placement model and evidence based practices of Supported Employment and Supported Education
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Disability Support Program
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work within an interdisciplinary team
  • Strong knowledge of assessment, employment planning, education systems and accommodation, current labour market trends, job development and job coaching


  • Current CPR

  • HCP and valid driver's license is required
  • Meditech experience an asset
  • Valid driver's license
