- Structural drawings and details preparation from inception to final design for a diverse range of steel and concrete structures, encompassing foundations, transit stations, treatment plants, processing facilities, and walls.
- Involvement in various procurement strategies like Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build to advance structural design packages.
- Mentoring and guiding junior team members.
- Adherence to BIM Execution Plan and project requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Providing support and guidance to junior team members on project BIM standards and procedures.
- Compliance with GHD BIM standards and procedures at the project level.
- Contribution to BIM scope, schedule, and budget as necessary.
- Performing quantity take-offs.
- Delivering consistent, high-quality structural outputs.
- Regular communication with structural leads, designers, and project team members to ensure efficient project information flow for meeting deadlines.
- Engagement, when needed, in evolving GHD Standard Structural Details and BIM Standards including advocating changes, mentoring on tool and method updates, and aiding in training development and lessons learned exercises.
- Qualifications to bring to the team:
- Technician/Technologist with a Civil Engineering Technology diploma and background in Civil or Structural Engineering (considered an advantage).
- 8 years of design/drafting standards, practice, and techniques experience (Compulsory).
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with Navisworks, Dynamo, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and AutoCAD Plant 3D (recognized as an asset).
- Understanding of the effort needed to complete tasks.
- Positive attitude, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in REVIT and BIM Collaboration tools (ProjectWise, BIM 360) (Compulsory).
- Effective communication abilities in team environments and training project teams on BIM/CAD best practices.
- Capability to engage with external entities to grasp BIM/CAD requirements and scope.
- Aptitude for multitasking across various projects and collaborating within a team setting.
