Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Junior Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for supporting Carrington Constructions Quality Management Plan and the maintenance of all quality documentation for the construction department.

• Assist the Project team in the implementation of the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP)
• Monitor and audit the Quality reports produced for the QMP, ensure that Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are being met.
• Assist in trade orientation on the project to quality standards for their respective scopes.
• Participate in client lead project reviews as well as supporting project teams.
• Support Field Surveillance of key project scopes identified as having significant quality risk in the QMP.
• Assist Project Team in the deficiency management process and documentation, Identification, Communication, Corrective Action, Confirmation of Compliance
• Participate in mockup reviews with finishing trade contractors to ensure that building finishing quality standards are established and understood early in the project execution.
• Support Project Team in troubleshooting quality issues and supporting the development of solutions.
• Support the project team by participating in and completing regular field reviews of all trade scopes to audit completed work for compliance with QMP
• Support Sales with Customer Facing Pre-Occupancy inspections of new suites.
• Support the documentation and communication of Quality Lessons learned and best practices across projects and update overall construction QMP documentation to reflect this learning.
• Support the maintenance of quality metrics for the company across all projects, by scope and by trade to identify trends for corrective action.

• Highschool diploma or GED, supported by a Journeyman Trade Certificate is required.
• Post-Secondary academic study in Quality Management, Quality Control, or Quality Assurance preferred.
• Two (2) or more years of experience in a construction quality role, preferably in the residential construction industry, is required.
• Must possess general construction knowledge; understanding of construction materials and methods related to all scopes, systems, and components necessary for the construction of residential properties.
• Must be able to read and interpret manufacture product specifications, and warranty requirements, and identify variances from project specifications.
• Intermediate knowledge of the Alberta Construction Performance Guide for New Home Warranties is required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction specifications and drawings.
• A clean drivers abstract is required for the operation of company vehicles on public roadways.
