    • RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve on cross functional teams and provide daily technical supports to the additive, machining, quality, and deburring teams.
  • Design fixtures, generate CAD models/drawings, and develop the manufacturing instructions to lead the process to manufacture complex precision-machined components.
  • Work with CNC programmers and machining team to develop/optimize the machining strategies.
  • Continuously expand the knowledge of CAD/CAM, machining strategies, and manufacturing processes to provide advice to customers and internal teams.
  • Develop and update standard manufacturing instructions.
  • Regularly collect process data from the manufacturing processes.
  • Perform the process / engineering change requests.
  • Adhere to company policies and standard.

    • ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary degree in aerospace/mechanical/industrial engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD. SolidWorks is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in principles of machining and work-holding strategies.
  • Strong knowledge in blueprint reading, precision measurement and GD&T.
  • Strong organizational, communication and team playing skills.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace documentation and specifications is an asset.
  • Experience in post machining of Additive Manufactured parts is an asset.
  • Experience in CNC programming 3 and 5 axis using Mastercam/NX is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications (i.e. MS Office applications).
