- Warranty Management:
- Completely own and comprehend the warranty programs in the region, covering processes, training, monitoring, and follow-ups.
- Enhance warranty recovery rates across all business units and promote participation in warranty programs, while keeping an eye on KPIs for improvement opportunities.
- Act as the main internal expert for warranty-related matters, aiding individual locations with warranty claim processing.
- Engage directly with partner dealerships in different cities to back sponsored warranty programs, nurture relationships, and uphold program integrity.
- Continue to enhance the warranty program in the region, ensuring targets are met and systems are optimized for maximum value.
- Identify missed opportunities, pursue warranty claims, and secure goodwill credits.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, energy, and dedication within the management team.
- Assist locations with aftermarket warranty terms for over-the-counter parts warranty programs, preventing missed buying opportunities.
- Requirements:
- Ideal candidates for the Warranty Manager role will have a background in automotive or heavy equipment warranty administration. Familiarity with heavy truck and equipment parts is essential, while experience in a technical or mechanical field related to trucking is advantageous.
- Experience in a workshop environment and the ability to enforce policies and procedures are necessary.
- Ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment and adapt to changes efficiently.
- Strong warranty recovery abilities, proficient in all aspects of warranty execution.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement in a decentralized multi-site setting.
- Excellent negotiation skills and readiness to travel as needed.
- Adept at interacting with all management levels.
- Sharp analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the Waste and Recycling Industry is a bonus but not mandatory.
- Dealership or OEM warranty experience.
- Working Conditions:
- The Warranty Manager must be able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat. Work environments may range from offices and boardrooms to shop floors.
- Physical Demands:
- Moderate walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, grasping/gripping, and pushing/pulling.
- Requirement to use personal protective gear like hearing protection, safety-toed boots, utility gloves, reflective vests, and hard hats.
- Engage in work around moving objects, vehicles, and machinery with mobile components.
- Physically capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds.
