SUMMARY:


We are currently looking for a
Counter Sales Representative to join our team in our
Barrie branch, located at
500 Dunlop Street W., Barrie, ON.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide service to walkin customers and the handling of cash sales.
  • Answers customer questions pertaining to price and product. Supplies customer with relevant information. Provides alternatives and suggestions when appropriate.
  • Calls customers for additional details and/or to give them the availability of special products and/or the replacement.
  • Provides quotes to customers using computer system as needed.
  • Transcribes all nonstock material in order for the purchasing dept. to order the material.
  • Makes regular phone calls to specific customers when required.
  • Followup on direct shipments from suppliers to customers to ensure billing to customer is timely.
  • Executes all other duties required by the position or by the immediate superior.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Customerfocused, good interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication in English
  • Good mathematical knowledge
  • Ability to produce precise work under pressure
  • Knowledge of plumbing and heating supply, an asset
  • 12 years previous experience related to inside sales, an asset
  • Previous experience with ERP systems, an asset
  • Customerfocused
