Location
Position Overview

Pre-School - for children aged 0-6 years
Opportunities may be available to work with the below program areas:
Children and Youth- for children aged 5 to 18 years
No Socks for Ivan Youth Drop-in
Community programs in the above areas are provided at various times and locations throughout Burlington. Program staff report to the Recreation Programmer/Recreation Coordinator and typically work 1 to 3 shifts per week per program. Hours of work will vary with position title and will vary dependent on program need. These positions will work up to 4 months between March and June.
Responsibilities
Program Staff are responsible for planning and implementing creative and varied programs to meet the needs and interests of all participants.
Successful applicants will be responsible for the safety and supervision of participants both on and offsite and are expected to implement and participate in activities.
All staff must adhere to all health and safety regulations at all times.Requirements:
You have the following qualifications or are in the process of obtaining, at your own expense:
- Standard First Aid and CPR level C certification
- Behavior Management Systems Training (available through the City of Burlington)
- HIGH FIVE
- Principles of Healthy Child Development
Please be advised of the following details:
- Interviews will be held February 27 to 28, 202
- Successful applicants are required to be at all mandatory training dates and to complete all mandatory online training prior to program start.
- Successful applicants will be placed at a location that best fits the program needs.
