Job Description


Reporting to the Director of Maintenance the Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining an environment which ensures the health, safety, and welfare of the participants, staff, visitors, and stakeholders of Riverview Enhanced Living.


Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Current physicians medical report
  • Experience with adults with diverse abilities considered an asset
  • Class 4 license and willing and able to drive a bus of 24 passengers and under
  • Knowledge of water treatment and sewage system

Responsibilities:


  • Safe operation of vehicles and equipment
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance
  • Perform all types of daily repairs and maintenance duties
  • Assists in seasonal work such as snow removal and landscaping duties
  • Maintain a safe working and living environment for employees, participants, volunteers, and stakeholders
  • Participate in training and educational sessions as required
  • Review participants programs, memos, meeting minutes, policies, work procedures and remain current on issues and changes
  • Assist in the completion of projects required and assigned to the maintenance department
  • Assist janitorial duties as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Details:


  • Compensation: $21.8875
  • Unionized Position: Yes
  • Hours of Work: Monday-Friday days, with On-Call evenings and weekends when necessary
  • Position Type: Fulltime
