RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre.

Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University.

The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary

Under the supervision of the Heart-in-a-Dish Manager, the employee's goal is to assist the team with medical chart review, data entry, data mining and compiling reports as per program objectives.

General Duties

  • Review medical records: Oacis, Vision C clinic documentation,
  • Review reports, results, and compile in research spreadsheet,
  • Compile data into data sets as outlined by team and provide ongoing reports,
  • Enter clinical results in electronic data capture system,
  • Identify discrepancies and "clean" data by reviewing medical reports,
  • Preparing reports for management on excel spreadsheets stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data,

  • Experience in clinical research or data entry,
  • Detail oriented and good organizational skills,
  • Ability to work independently and within teams,
  • Selfdriven and motivated to work, achieve deadlines, and set goals independently,
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel and PowerPoint,
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills,
  • Having a systematic and logical approach to problemsolving,

Status:
Temporary, part time (15 hours/ week)


Pay Scale:
Commensurate with education and experience
