At Desjardins, you will be responsible for assisting our members/claimants and employers to facilitate a safe and timely transition back to work after a period of illness/injury.
It will be your responsibility to develop and implement rehabilitation interventions and ensure they are proactive, cost effective and timely.
You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to optimize (work) outcomes.General Information on the Position
Main responsibilities- Complete thorough and objective assessments, accurately document relevant information and ensure quality, cost effective rehabilitation work products are delivered within the established service standards- Develop, implement, and support rehabilitation plans that are strategic, outcome focused and driven by objective demonstrated functional capabilities- Negotiate return-to-work terms with members, employers, and practitioners, including attending physicians- Collaborate with the claim specialists on a regular basis to achieve optimal partnered case management- Establish and maintain client and member relationships; manage expectations and service quality to ensure member and client satisfaction- Manage a rehabilitation caseload for Life & Health Benefits- Participate in occasional short-term projects and initiatives for Life & Health Benefits.
Other working conditions- Have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel- Workplace: Position located inToronto or Calgary,, depending on the applicant selected.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthrelated; Kinesiology; Psychology; Occupational Therapy, or in a related field
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience
- Rehabilitation experience (an asset)
Specific knowledge- Proficient speaker, complete proficiency in English.
