Are you an LPN looking to develop your career in the Seniors housing industry? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced full time Assisted Living Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of our AL residences for all of our Vernon properties: Creekside Landing - Heritage Square - Pioneer Square (Armstrong).

What You Will Do

  • Manage the daytoday operations of the Assisted Living residences in Vernon and Armstrong, keeping the organization on track for its longterm goals and mission.
  • Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of personcentered care plans ensuring client's goals, needs and preferences are met.
  • Monitor and enhance employee performance through education, coaching, mentoring, guidance, and role modeling.
  • Facilitate relationships and communication between departments, clients, families, team members and community stakeholders.
  • Lead the marketing activities including providing tours, arranging media advertising, and signing occupancy agreements.
  • Address resident issues and/or concerns by maintaining proactive and responsive relationships in order to achieve a high rate of tenant satisfaction.
  • Oversee residence occupancy levels, admissions, and departures.
  • Develop and maintain an effective quality and risk management system for the Assisted Living department to ensure regulations and standards are met.
  • Cultivate and promote a safe environment for those in the home, implementing Occupational Health and Safety, infection control protocols, violence prevention, and cultural safety training.

Your Qualifications - The Must Have's

  • Graduate of a recognized Practical Nursing program with active registration with the BCCN
  • Three to five years of related experience in an assisted living setting
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, leadership, and exceptional administrative abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Computer proficiency with and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and BC Assisted Living Principles
  • Class 5 drivers' licence and a reliable vehicle are required
  • Clear Criminal record check
  • Proof of COVID19 vaccinations
