Job Description:

Reports to the Professional Leader, Social Work, and the Manager, Children's Mental Health and Adult Outpatient Services. Provides assessments, family, group, and individual therapy to an inpatient and day hospital population with complex needs.


Qualifications:


  • Masters of Social Work
  • Registration and in good standing with the O.C.S.W.S.S.W.
  • Extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents and their families
  • Knowledge of the Major Disorders of Childhood
  • Experience in providing centralized intake
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working in a health setting would be an asset
  • Experience in developing and conducting groups
  • Familiarity with short term therapy techniques and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Must be willing to work in secure, open and day hospital settings
  • Familiarity with community resources and demonstrated ability to work well with community partners
  • Must be able to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Computer proficiency
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
