Position Summary


The BC Region Sales Manager is responsible for leading the Sales Department in establishing sales targets and strategies to support the company's goals and objectives.

The BC Region Sales Manager will reach his or her business targets through effective management of designated territories and physical visits to customer sites.


What you'll do:


  • Maintain and foster relationships with current customers ensuring the customer's needs are being met.
  • Participate in annual Sales Budget preparation by setting targets for current and new business.
  • Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from existing and current client base.
  • Represent the company and perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company products/services at professional conferences and trade exhibitions.
  • Emphasize product features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales programs and/or reports.
  • Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue.
  • Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity and represent the company in a positive manner.
  • Actively manage call schedules to adequately cover assigned territory in a timeefficient manner.
  • Use market data and applicable sales management software tools to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establish territorial responsibilities and assign staff to ensure adequate professional coverage.
  • Coordinate service by working closely with the National Customer Service Manager and Operations.
  • Manage the overall performance of the BC Outside Sales Department, including annual budgeting process, individual commission/sales targets and customer/product responsibilities.
  • Develop, coach, mentor and motivate subordinates by conducting annual employee performance and goals reviews and holding regular employee and departmental meetings.
  • Understand and adheres to the company's health and safety policies, programs and procedures by communicating and promoting health and safety awareness to all employees.
  • Maintain a high standard of professional knowledge, ethics and practices when dealing with customers, suppliers, peers, subordinates, supervisors and other key stakeholders of the company.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner that reflects integrity and respect towards customers, suppliers, peers, subordinates, supervisors and other key stakeholders of the company
  • Other responsibilities and accountabilities as assigned by the Director of Commercial and Retail Sales.

What you'll need:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing and leading a team
  • Building Materials/Construction/Manufacturing sales experience preferred
  • Prior knowledge of Bailey Products is considered an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs; Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to conduct presentations
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract

Working Conditions:


  • Frequent travel is required, often up to several hours of driving per day.
  • Ability to travel to, attend, and conduct presentations.
  • Overtime as required.
