Our Frist Cook is responsible for preparing high quality food in a fast-paced Kitchen for an exclusive private Club.

This individual ensures that their work station is clean and organized and assists with other areas of the kitchen as requested by kitchen management.


DUTIES:


  • Line cook duties as well as banquet and staff meals.
  • Will need to come up with ideas and cook staff meals.
  • Maintain current knowledge of food ingredients and food preparation in order to provide Members with accurate information.
  • Ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to kitchen management.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Executive Chef, Sous-Chefs, and Management

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Minimum 2 years of related experience is required in batch cooking as well as hot side line cooking.
  • Red Seal Certification an asset.
  • Highly motivated and must work well with little supervision.
  • Have excellent communication skills and perform well under pressure.
  • Always strives for excellence and constant improvement.
  • Will need to be able to day shift and weekends.

Must be able to work both at our Island Club House (parking at 150 Cherry Street) and City Club House (St.

George and Bloor).
