The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing is looking for an innovative, results oriented and client focused individual to join the senior management team in the Finance, Analysis & Accountability Branch.


Come demonstrate your expertise in this role providing financial advice and leadership with a team of financial professionals in ensuring the integrity of financial recording, reporting and monitoring of all funds disbursed through housing and homelessness transfer payments.


About Us
The Finance, Accountability, and Analysis Branch (FAAB) supports financial oversight and accountability for housing and homelessness programs.


The branch is responsible for:

leading financial accountability/controllership analysis and advice; leading on Federal-Provincial-Territorial engagement and negotiations; leading business intelligence and data analytics across the entire housing continuum; and leading a multifaceted approach to information management and analytics, including the management of housing and homelessness programs through the Transfer Payment Ontario (TPON) system.

It will be your responsibility to inspire and motivate your team to deliver their best performance and align the team's daily actions with the strategic vision of the ministry.

As the Manager of the Transfer Payment Accountability Unit, you will:

  • Provide staff leadership, strategic direction and effective modern controllership for the development and maintenance of financial and administrative tools, transfer payment systems, and operational processes.
  • Develop, implement and update financial systems and processes for the corporate reporting and forecasts of the Housing Division's budget and other corporate requirements including risk reporting, multiyear planning, Certificate of Assurance, etc.
  • Manage the resources and administration of payments and financials associated with a variety of housing and homelessness programs by developing, implementing and updating controllership and internal control systems and processes.
  • Develop comprehensive reports and briefing notes to support the Housing Division and the Ministry on financial and fiscal elements of the various housing and homelessness programs.
  • Coordinate accurate and timely financial information of affordable housing and homelessness activities and projects for a variety of reporting, issues management and communications purposes.
