We are hiring an Assembler Technician for one of our clients located in
Mississauga.

General Accountabilities:

Responsible for picking raw materials and assembly of finished products


Specific Accountabilities:


  • Ability to follow detailed instructions in order to meet safety and quality requirements.
  • Basic ability to work with hand tools.
  • Ability to Interpret technical documents (drawings, diagrams, bills of material) to assemble, install electrical and mechanical components as specified.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to pick, carry parts and products.
  • Ability to identify any raw material variations to Quality Control standards, before using.
  • Verify piece inventories (low stock) during order picking. Advise Lead Hands, Supervisor of any shortage of materials and materials that cannot be found.
  • Completion of work assignments in a timely manner. Advise Lead Hands, Supervisors of any training support, requirements. Communicate variances in work assigned immediately.
  • Ability to capture work data, activity advance. Capturing timely accurate information in computer are important.
  • Workstations need to be maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Paint items as required.
  • Basic knowledge of electronical, mechanical assembly.

Qualifications:_

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in related position.
  • Interpret technical documents (drawings, diagrams, bills of material).
  • Basic knowledge of electronic and mechanical assemblies.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Basic / intermediate computer skills.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods of time.
  • Able to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Ability using hand tools, glue gun, heat gun used for light assembly activities. Basic soldering and gluing capabilities.
  • Do any other assignments as required.
  • Able to lift 50 Lbs.
  • Knowledge of French (an asset)
Shift: 7 am to 4:30 Pm


Salary:
$17.00-$20.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
