    Description

    Job Summary:

    You will work independently and as part of multi-disciplinary engineering and product design teams. Your primary role will be to assist in the design and programming of control systems, system integration, instrumentation, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning. Based in our Ottawa office, some travel may be required.

    Responsibilities:

  • System Integration.
  • Design of electrical schematics, control panels, cabling, etc.
  • Design and troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems.
  • Programming PLCs and HMIs.
  • Preparation of design specifications.
  • Commissioning, testing, troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems.
  • Work in a team with close contact to clients.

    • Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience of with the system integration, instrumentation and control systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent, in electrical, electronics engineering, robots, etc.
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge of industrial transducers, signal conditioning, cabling and data acquisition,
  • Hands on experience with PLCs and HMIs.
  • Experience with Linux based Single Board Computers (SBC) / embedded systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge of industrial communications protocols
  • Programming Language experience (C, C++, Rust, or Python) is desirable.
  • Experience with AutoCAD to produce detailed drawings for assembly and wiring control panels and instrumentation.
  • Prepared to travel.
