We are currently searching for a
Quality Support Analyst in our Securitas Products & Solutions Group based out of our 3xLOGIC Victoria branch, situated in beautiful Victoria, BC, Canada, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island.


The Opportunity:

The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, strong analytical and problem-solving skills are pre-requisites for success in this role.

This position will be an addition to our growing engineering team tasked to build innovative products and achieve the highest level of success.


Key Responsibilities will include:


  • Collaborate with product owner, developers, and the QA and support teams through all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • QA Testing including both general testing of various components and software, but also specific use cases that are key.
  • Assistance on ancillary issues such as UL Certification, camera plugins, firmware management, technical documentation, new hardware integration design, testing and troubleshooting
  • Develop unit and integration tests to test robustness of delivered work.
  • Participate in design sessions.
  • Estimate and report testing efforts
  • Work with a global team.

Qualifications:


Essential:

  • Strong Windows troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Windows policies.
  • Familiarity with the Debian Linux operating system.
  • Strong networking skills, including configuration and management of IP devices that integrate to our core product suite.
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server, including management and the use of stored procedures and adhoc queries.
  • Strong aptitude for electronics and software, and how the two interface to each other.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, ability to convey complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work predominately unsupervised.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Experience with SCRUM / Agile development methodologies and software (ADO preferred).

Desirable:

  • Experience with computer programming and key principles, and scripting.
  • Previous VMS and IP Camera skills.
  • COMPTIA Network+ Certification (or equivalent).
  • Ability to work efficiently as a member of the software development team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Gives and welcomes feedback.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
