    Compensation :
    $102,000–$125,000 per year (full-time equivalent, prorated based on part-time hours), dependent on years of experience

    OXD works with clients from all across North America to improve access to justice, deliver equal and fair citizen services, and make smarter software using modern methods and practices.

    We're looking for a part-time Design Director who knows how to work collaboratively across teams to deliver usable, inclusive, and flexible experiences, while also inspiring others to do the same.

    As Design Director, you'll work with practitioners from across our company as well as our clients' organizations—people who are blazing trails and setting the bar for design excellence and digital transformation.

    Drive the design strategy and creative direction for diverse digital projects.
    Help shape the messaging and visual presentation of critical communications for our clients.
    Maintain hands-on involvement with design projects, from conceptualization to execution.

    Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with Project Managers, UX Specialists, Marketers, and Strategists to produce exceptional work that meets business objectives and user needs.

    Engage with clients through both formal presentations and informal channels, nurturing relationships and building trust.
    A minimum of 10 years of visual design experience, either within an agency or in-house.
    Proven track record of leading design teams and managing substantial website design projects.
    Experience designing and delivering online software as part of an Agile product team.
    Expert in graphic design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
    Expert in designing and prototyping with modern UI design tools like Figma.
    Expert designing in and for Powerpoint, Slides, Word, and Docs.
    Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to manage time-sensitive projects and mitigate stress among team members.
    Remote or onsite—it's up to you.
    OXD is based in Vancouver, and we have staff working remotely all across Canada.
