    The role:

    Our client is a company recognized worldwide for its innovative spirit and excellence in the design and manufacture of its integrated cockpit and avionics solutions and state-of-the-art displays for the commercial and military aviation markets.

    Why should you join our team as a Program Manager?

    The Senior Program Manager is accountable for the overall schedule, financial, scope related to the execution of the program, in accordance with the contractual and company commitments of our client and the laws, regulations and administrative ruling of governmental organizations. The Senior Program Manager also participates in the formulation of program strategies, governance and processes.

    Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Accountable for Programs' financials, schedule, scope and execution. Potentially this may include complex programs, multiple programs, multi- sites programs.
  • Leads and drives all program activities required to meet the program(s) commitments (internal and external) in collaboration with all the functional leads.
  • Is the primary customer interface during program execution.
  • Manage and reports the progress of the program(s) toward customer and internal deliverables (NRE and/or equipment), and takes corrective actions as challenges arise.
  • Ensures all customer dependencies are provides in a timely fashion for the program execution.
  • Responsible for driving and keeping up to date the program milestones schedule.
  • Plans programs with the lead-time required to effectively execute the corresponding engineering and operations.
  • Ensures implementation of program capabilities are in line with the product line's objectives.
  • Coordinates with Operations/Production for program execution and hardware deliverables: raise SOAs based on forecasts.
  • Raises and maintains the required Work Authorizations (WA) and requisition forms for the program.
  • Maintains customer satisfaction and report any customer issues to upper management.
  • Supports contract negotiations.
  • Participates and leads proposals as applicable.
  • Can be called upon to lead and coordinate aspects of a proposal estimate, which includes but not limited to: Engineering estimates, Subcontracts, Factory costs, Bought Out Parts (BOP).
  • Assists in mentoring and coaching Program managers
  • Provides comment and recommendations to the Program Director on program management process and governance

    • To excel in this role, you must hold:

  • Bachelor in Engineering or equivalent as a minimum;
  • Member of OIQ, MBA will be an asset;
  • PMP accreditation will be an asset;
  • Minimum of 5 to years of experience in development, production, or support of avionics systems or complex electronics embedded systems ;
  • Minimum of 5 years in project/program planning and execution of complex programs;
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and leadership skills;
  • Excellent writing skills for interfacing with internal/external support groups;
  • Ability of organizing, implementing and evaluating multidisciplinary activities in a complex environment;
  • Bilingual (French/English), verbal and written.
