The Banquet Sales & Event Coordinator is responsible for maximizing banquet and wedding revenues by creating and implementing sales plans for weddings, banquets, and parties.
This position will report directly to the General Manager.- Achieve sales/profit goals of Fellows Renaissance by the Creek's events operation
- Utilize Salesforce daily to build and maintain an events prospect database, track all communications and activities with those prospects, and record all sales made
- Respond to prospect inquiries, conduct tours and meetings for prospective events, and sell events
- Oversee the development/preparation of contracts for all banquets/weddings
- Work with General Manager to determine selling prices and menus for events
- Coordinate with Chef and General Manager to plan menus, product and supply orders, and staff in a timely fashion
- Schedule all banquet event functions, price and prepare event proposals, collect signed contracts and deposits.
- Lead banquet staff during events
- Provide excellent food and beverage service for all events
- Ensure satisfaction by communicating with the client throughout the event regarding any changes, substitutions or special requests; assisting banquet staff throughout the event as needed (refilling drinks, delivering food, bussing tables, etc.); and following up with event host at the conclusion of the event
- Full compliance with Department of Health and Liquor Control Commission regulations
- Help develop banquet sales budgets and marketing plans
- Participate in outside activities that are judged appropriate by the General Manager to enhance the presence of the property in the local community
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Must have 35 years of related experience in event coordination/catering sales
- Superior sales skills in prospecting, communication, and closing
- Must have supervisory experience
- Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship skills
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be highly organized, efficient, and detailoriented
Salary:
$18.00-$25.00 per hour
