    POSITION OVERVIEW:
    TriPoint Insurance Underwriting Inc. is currently seeking an Underwriter Assistant to join our team and support the SHOP (Select Hospitality Owners Program). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting underwriters with a range of essential tasks.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Coordinate new business triage by setting up in EPIC/Policy Works, attaching all relevant correspondence
    Handle document issuance, including but not limited to new and renewal policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, and binders.
    Manage the invoicing process for new business, renewals, and endorsements.
    Complete monthly bordereaux for various contracts, both new and renewal.
    Conduct follow-ups on new business quotes.
    Send out renewal questionnaires 90 days prior to the expiry date.
    Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring timely responses, accurate product information, and effective communication.
    Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, protocols, and directives.
    Foster a company culture grounded in respect, collaboration, and innovation.
    Fulfill any additional duties as required.


    REQUIREMENTS:
    Ideally, a minimum of 1 year of experience in the insurance industry within a commercial setting.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365, and insurance software (EPIC/Policy Works) is preferred.
    Meticulous attention to detail is essential.
    Familiarity with insurance industry terminology is required.
    Strong communication skills, both written and oral, coupled with excellent organizational abilities.
    Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team environment.
    High School Diploma or equivalent; college education is a plus.

    Preference given to candidates with insurance designations (such as CIP, CAIB, FCIP, CRM, R.I.B.O., etc.) or those enrolled in relevant certification programs.
