Barkman Transport is a transport and logistics company in Winnipeg.

We are looking for a Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join our team and work from our location in Winnipeg, MB.

The Safety Coordinator will develop and implement programs and policies to address fleet maintenance and safety, driver safety and ensure compliance with regulations related to the transportation industry.

Responsibilities:

Driver hiring and driver training and orientation.
Manage and maintain all Driver files.
Monitor and review HOS compliance and accuracy, detect violations in ELD.
Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and US laws and enforce company policies and take disciplinary action when policies are violated.
Manage and supervise all trucks and trailers have all related documents, authorities, permits, and plates updated in the document binder.
Licensing and permitting Commercial Tractors and Trailers
Manage and maintain all tractor and trailer maintenance files. Make and the PM and Annual inspection schedule and ensure compliance with company's maintenance policy.
Review and follow up on any infractions, claims, convictions, incidents, and accidents as they occur.
Perform other administrative and general tasks as they arise.
