    Description
    Senior Software Security Developer - Permanent
    Software Security Developer for our west-end client. HQ'd in Kanata, this software company has several offices worldwide to serve their global client base.

    Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, this person will join a growing agile team of skilled Developers that build enterprise-level, multi-tier applications in a mission-critical environment.

    This particular position is a hybrid between a Developer and a DevSecOps role , and will look to assess the state of their enterprise systems, build security-based infrastructure, identify and respond to vulnerabilities, and work with the Security Development team to integrate security practices into the development process.

    Although this software company employs several tech stacks – including Java, C# (.NET), Golang, , Ruby, Python, etc. they value attitude, aptitude, and problem-solving ability over the perfect technical fit. This role will heavily involve the use of Kubernetes and C# microservices, in particular.
    This is a permanent position with one of the region's top employers.

    They employ a hybrid model consisting of two days/week in their Kanata office.
    S. degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or similar field
    ~5+ years of software development experience, ideally with enterprise software/systems using languages such as Java, .NET, Ruby, Go, Python, etc.
    ~3+ years of DevSecOps and/or software development experience in a security capacity; vulnerability analysis, blackbox/whitebox testing, etc.
    ~ Experience in areas such as big data, Kubernetes and containerized applications, microservices, etc. is a strong asset
