QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum grade 12 or equivalent.
Previous experience working in an Environmental Services capacity, preferably in a Healthcare setting.
Knowledge of the use of proper body mechanics to meet the physical demands of the job, for prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing/pulling carts.
Knowledge and understanding of WHMIS
Knowledge and understanding of the PIDAC Environmental Cleaning best practices.
Working knowledge of computers and entering online data i.e. Incident reporting.
Knowledge of the requirements and provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Flexible, selfdirected and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, judgment and decisionmaking skills.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be available for all shifts including weekends, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays.
Consistent and regular attendance required.
Vaccines (COVID19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
