Shift is a specialized care agency founded in 2011. Our team manages complex care facilities for
adults and youth in some of Canada's most remote locations. Focusing on helping people
discover their greatness, we blend cultural and on-the-land opportunities with experiential
learning and trauma-informed care.
Primary Duties:
Working as part of a collaborative team, the HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist's primary job is
to support the full-cycle recruitment process, including preparing, sourcing, screening,
selecting, hiring, onboarding and supporting our management team. We are looking for a
master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude.
- Support the fullcycle recruitment process, including preparing, sourcing, screening,
- Book and conduct prescreen interviews
- Schedule and assist with interviews
- Complete reference checks
- Consult with the Managers about staffing needs
- Review and sort incoming resumes
- Assist with preparation of letters of offer
- Collect hiring packages
- Ensure file compliance process
- Attend job fairs and conduct presentations at post secondary institutions to proactively
- Support in local and national recruiting campaigns
- Maintain accurate statistics on employee recruitment and retention
- Significant focus on uploading, filing and maintaining documents.
- Support Program Manager with scheduling as needed.
- Support with HR engagement projects as needed
- Assist with other duties and administrative takes as assigned and needed
Qualifications & Attributes:
- Experience as an HR Professional and/or Recruitment experience required.
- Completed postsecondary education in a related field is an asset
- Proficiency in MS office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior organizational skills and dedication to completing tasks in a timely manner.
- Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System is a strong asset.
- Permanent fulltime position
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday Thursday in office, Friday work from home
Pay:
$51,000.00 per year
