We are hiring a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor at our Mississauga manufacturing facility.


This position is responsible forensure the safe handling and storage of finished goods and raw materials from the point of receipt into inventory to the final shipment.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of shipments
  • Coordinate internal departments to meet plant objectives
  • Provide on the floor leadership and supervision, training in SOP's, scheduling, and guidance to shipping/ receiving employees
  • Foster positive working relationships. Respond proactively to performance concerns, discipline, employee complaints, and other employee relations matters
  • Plan, organize, and supervise the shipping function, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of finished goods to the end customer
  • Ensure the team complies with plant health and safety requirements
  • Conduct and organize daily inventory counts as required and be responsible for accuracy of inventory
  • Supervise, train and review performance of shipping/receiving staff
  • Recommend measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department and work crew and equipment performance
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience:


  • Must have High School Diploma
  • Minimum 5 year's experience in a Shipping/Receiving Supervisory role preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate computer skills with experience using Wed-Based Shipping Portals
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • A positive and friendly attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work individually or in a team environment

  • Shipping &
Receiving Leadership: 4 years (preferred)
