    Software Test Engineer

    Job Summary

    The new position is full-time and continuing. We are seeking an individual who will be part of the software development team in the role of testing.

    Responsibilities


    • Work with a cross-functional team of software developers, engineers, and scientists to design state-of-the-art products.


    • Research new technologies and methods and suggest new ways to improve the company's products and processes.


    • Support your developed works with documentation and communications to internal and external customers.


    • Participate in peer review of designs; provide and receive critique effectively.


    • Manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.


    • Frequent travel to customer sites around the world.

    Qualifications


    • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Applied Science

    Duties


    • Develop and document software testing plans


    • Create an automated regression and integration test framework using virtual machines and real hardware


    • Execute, analyze, and document results of software application tests


    • Develop and implement software testing policies, procedures, and scripts


    • Identify, report, track, and propose solutions to product defects


    • Create automated regression and integration test cases for new features and bugs


    • Contribute to acceptance test criteria for new features


    • Perform manual testing using CNCs and Laser CNCs as required

    Skills & Abilities


    • Experience with C/C++, Linux, and the .NET framework with C#


    • Experience with continuous integration (CI) and CI tools would be a plus


    • Experience using version control and issue tracking software such as Mercurial and JIRA


    • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
