Lead Hand Assembler - Brampton, Canada - Peel Hr
Description
Job Purpose:
The Team Lead is a member of the production team including Machine Shop and/or Assembly. They must ensure that the machine assembly processes are effective and efficient.
Support their line Manager with safety, environmental controls, development of production employees, plant production including quality control and protection of equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all processes/operations in production are going smoothly
- Maintain and ensure production schedule is being followed
- Identify and communicate all issues related to quality with the Engineering group
- Anticipate and prevent any obstacles that may impede the production process
- Identify part shortage problems and report to engineering.
- Maintain requirement of supplies for production
- Report any major/continuous quality failures (or suspected) to be verified by QC supervisor and QA for that product
- Verify all processes are performed to the documentation
- Make sure housekeeping is being done at all areas and is maintained at all times
- Ensure quality standards are maintained all through the production
- Review, analyze and make recommendations regarding safety, environmental performance, quality, expenses, productivity, and customer feedback.
- Develop and/or implement departmental reporting as required.
- Maintain a high standard of professional knowledge, ethics and practices when dealing with customers, suppliers, peers, subordinates, supervisors and other key stakeholders of the company.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner that reflects integrity and respect towards customers, suppliers, peers, subordinates, supervisors and other key stakeholders of the company.
- Understand, support and adhere to the company's health and safety policies, programs and procedures by communicating and promoting health and safety awareness to coworkers and subordinates.
- Other responsibilities and accountabilities as assigned by the line Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Technical degree and/or demonstrate related equivalent experience in machine assembly
- Sound knowledge and demonstrable success of providing leadership in a production environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate all levels of personnel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional work habits and housekeeping
- Highly motivated and selfdirected
Salary:
$26.00-$30.00 per hour

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- Manufacturing: 1 year (required)
