The normal work schedule is a fly in / fly out

rotation of 4 weeks paid i.e., 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks paid to rest.

The Mobile Maintenance Trainer reports to the Training Supervisor


His primary responsibilities are:

  • He assumes responsibility, on site, for the training and evaluation of all Mobile Maintenance employees; He/she provides this same service to onsite contractor employees;
  • He identifies the training needs according to the technical skills on our equipment or vehicles;
  • His main mandate is to accompany employees during diagnostics in the workshop and on our mine sites (trouble shooting);
  • He develops training plans for each equipment and vehicle, according to the standards and characteristics of the different equipment or vehicles in order to improve and optimize the equipment and heavy machinery, mobile vehicles, etc;
  • Identifies and develops the critical skills of the department's employees.
  • Participates in the individual development plan of employees.
  • Participates in the creation of training materials (technical documentation, audiovideo support, etc.) and defines the didactic means and tools necessary for training;
  • Ensures that technical training is carried out properly and ensures quality and followup in order to meet legislative and corporate requirements;
  • Collaborates with the department in the implementation and/or maintenance of various training projects related to the preventive maintenance of the mining equipment;
  • Collaborates in the drafting of internal policies and procedures related to its field of activity;
  • Ensures the followup, reports and statistics required for the training department.

What we are looking for

  • Have a college diploma (DEC) in Construction Equipment Mechanics or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in diagnostics (SIS/ET Caterpillar) of underground mining equipment (Jumbo, S/T mining truck, drill, shuttle loader.)
  • Minimum of 8 years experience as a construction equipment mechanic and/or underground mechanic;
  • 0 to 2 years experience as a trainer, with the desire to share his knowledge and develop as a trainer.
  • Experience in the mining industry is an asset;
  • Excellent knowledge of his or her trade with the desire to share it;
  • Must have a valid driver's license;

  • English) functional.
