    Job description

    Le Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG) lance un appel de candidatures dédié aux étudiants et diplômés en techniques policières, admissibles à la formation de l'École nationale de police du Québec (ENPQ). Dès la troisième année de votre formation collégiale, ou une fois votre diplôme obtenu, vous pouvez soumettre votre candidature en vue d'obtenir une promesse d'embauche du SPVG prenant effet à la suite de la réussite du programme de formation initiale en patrouille-gendarmerie de l'ENPQ et de la complétion de toutes les étapes du processus (dont un tri sécuritaire et un examen médical).

    Relevant du sergent à la gendarmerie, l'agent à la patrouille agit à titre de représentant de la loi afin de maintenir la paix, l'ordre et la sécurité publique en prévenant et réprimant le crime, les infractions aux lois et aux règlements en vigueur et en rechercher les auteurs. Il assure la sécurité des personnes et des biens. Il sauvegarde les droits et les libertés, il respecte les victimes et coopère avec la communauté dans le respect du pluralisme culturel.

    Exigences et compétences recherchées

    Détenir un diplôme d'études collégiales en techniques policières ou être en voie de l'obtenir.
    - Être admissible à la formation de l'École nationale de police du Québec
    - Être citoyen canadien.
    - Être de bonnes moeurs.
    - Ne pas avoir été reconnu coupable, en quelque lieu que ce soit, d'un acte ou d'une omission que le Code criminel (Lois révisées du Canada (1985), chapitre C-46) décrit comme une infraction, ni d'une des infractions visées à l'article 183 de ce Code, créées par l'une des lois qui y sont énumérées.
    - Être admissible ou détenir un permis de conduire valide de classe 4A - véhicule d'urgence et 5.
    - Satisfaire au tri sécuritaire.
    - Posséder un état de santé compatible avec les exigences du poste.
    - Être apte à résoudre les problèmes.
    - Être apte à prendre des décisions et faire preuve de jugement.
    - Posséder de bonnes habiletés en communications interpersonnelles.
    - Faire preuve de tolérance.
    - Savoir travailler en équipe.
    - Faire preuve d'autonomie.
    - Être résistant au stress.
    - Réussir le processus de qualification.

    Horaire de travail

    Les agents (es) à la patrouille sont assignés à une équipe de travail et ils sont appelés à travailler sur des quarts rotatifs (jour, soir et nuit) sur un cycle de cinq (5) semaines.

    Les agents (es) sont appelées à travailler minimalement 35,8 heures par semaine.
