    E&I Controls Maintenance Technologist
    TWD is an engineering, procurement, and construction management consulting company providing project development, execution and specialty engineering services for the oil and gas industry with expertise ranging from refinery, pipelines, terminalling and blending, renewables, food and beverage, power, downstream chemical processing, and much more.     TWD is currently seeking E&I Controls Maintenance Technologist to support our client based in Canada. This position can be based anywhere in Canada with the option of Hybrid.

    Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and/or support the execution of E&I Controls maintenance engineering activities in alignment with industry best practices.
  • Work & collaborate with maintenance execution, Turnaround, planning, operations, cross functional teams [process engineers, mechanical engineering, machinery engineering] to fulfill engineering jobs.
  • Create Maintenance Strategies.
  • Prepare and/or review internal and external technical documents ensuring accuracy of content and identification of concerns and opportunities.
  • Develop work scopes for the reliable operation and maintenance of site systems and equipment.
  • Provide technical support and recommendations on all aspects of static equipment, operations, and maintenance.
  • Participate in audits, investigation, and act on recommendations.
  • Lead and/or support troubleshooting efforts and develop viable solutions.
  • Promote & participate in a culture of safety related to engineering jobs.
  • Steer MOC [Management of Change] process and address deliverables.
  • Adhere to training requirements, contractor safety qualification and management requirements, and safe work processes.
  • Ensure that incidents are reported and investigated promptly, and that follow-up actions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the business unit.
  • Perform field walkdowns and collaborate with maintenance and operations personnel to develop repair plans.
    • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical / Instrumentation engineering.
  • Knowledge of Master Data would be an asset
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant industry experience in oil and gas, or a comparable industry.
  • I & C practices such as ISA (Instrument Society of America).
  • Demonstrated understanding, and the ability to apply applicable Acts, Regulations, and Codes.
  • Knowledge of reliability tools such as Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and/or Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Ability to execute in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to visit plant areas as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Desire to seek feedback to improve quality of deliverables and to develop existing and new expertise.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based business applications.
  • Familiar with AutCad, drawing revision process and knowledge of SAP>
  • Ability to work autonomously yet collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Shows Initiative and drives effective and timely results.
  • Familiar with SAP and Maintenance & Reliability workflow.
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 or equal driver's license.
