Description

The Quality Assurance Technician reports directly to the Quality Assurance Lead and is responsible for ensuring that the product meets the company's objectives for purity, quality and security.

The Quality Assurance Technician must meet external and internal regulatory requirements including legal compliance and customer expectations. Will be primarily responsible for the monitoring and quality control of cannabis production.

The role will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), and Good Production Practices (GPP).


Responsibilities:


  • Enforce Standard Operating Procedures site wide.
  • Ensures that all processing activities are carried out as per Standard Operating Procedures and Batch Records are used to produce consistent quality cannabis products.
  • Ensures all technical documents in use are current and all master documents such as policy documents and Standard Operating Procedures are controlled and secured in accordance with GPP.
  • Perform line clearances for GPP activities
  • Perform inprocess checks
  • Sampling
  • Reviewing logbooks on production floor, including temp and humidity monitoring
  • Assure compliance to inhouse and external specifications and standards,
  • Communicate effectively to all levels of management.

Skills and Competencies:

  • College Diploma in Quality Assurance/Cannabis is considered an asset
  • Minimum of 1+ years experience in Quality Assurance
  • Thorough and detailoriented and must work well with established processes.
  • Previous work experience within the Cannabis industry is considered as an asset
  • Experience operating in a fast pace organizational environment
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks for long periods (e.g. sampling, weighing product,) while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Able to lift 20lbs, sit and/or stand for extended periods and reach with arms/hands. Walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items is occasionally required.
  • Exposure to packaged cannabis products/supplies.
  • May be noisy at times.
  • Exposure to dust, fine particles, gasses under pressure and flammable materials.
