    Description

    Firebag Technical Solutions is a Professional Consulting Engineering Firm that provides project planning, engineering design, and project management services to the Oil and Gas industry.

    We specialize in conventional Oil and Gas projects, heavy oil (SAGD, CSS) processing, and enhanced oil recovery projects.

    With our integrity and commitment to our work, we have delivered numerous projects for a wide range of clients and look forward to delivering new ones.

    Our team brings together top-of-the-line experts with the knowledge and experience to deliver the most challenging and successful projects in the Oil and Gas industry.

    As a contributing member of the Project Controls team, the Intermediate Planner/Scheduler will be required to work closely with other groups, leaders, and project managers to support effective and proactive control of project plans and schedules.

    This position will require a strong commitment to excellence in the development and support for cost control and project management systems, processes, resources, and tools.

    Logic Analysis
    # Variance analysis
    # Ability to meet safety requirements to attend site visits
    # In-depth what-if scenario analysis

    Three (3) years or more of planning and scheduling experience in engineering and consulting environments
    Bachelor or Graduate degree in a related field
    Field experience and construction planning is an asset
    Strong MS Excel skills for analysis and reporting
    Proficient with P6 Primavera Project Management
    Background in Heavy Oil / SAGD projects would be preferred, but not essential
    Quality-focused with strong attention to detail while maintaining a "whole project" perspective
