Position Summary:


The Interim Director, Alumni Programs & Services will report directly to the Associate Vice President, Program Development & Alumni Engagement and will lead the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive scalable programs and services for our graduate alumni community.

As the Interim Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the continued success and growth of NPower Canada's mission to launch underserved and underrepresented individuals in Canada into sustainable digital and tech-related employment.

You will be responsible for creating and managing a suite of services that support our alumni in their career progression, job placement, and ongoing professional development.


Key Accountabilities

Program Development and Directorship:

  • In collaboration with the Associate Vice President, Program Development & Alumni Engagement and other departmental leadership, develop, implement, and measure a tiered range of alumnifocused programs and services to address diverse needs, including job placement, career progression, industryspecific education, and networking opportunities.
  • Oversee the ongoing creation and execution of selfdirected and instructorsupported education programs, such as Google Data Analytics, Google Project Management, and Microsoft AI 900 courses, tailored for alumni possessing at least 1 year of professional experience.
  • Design and deliver specialized and scalable career development services for alumni transitioning into advanced employment fields (e.g., Cyber, Project Management), ensuring relevance and alignment with industry trends.
  • Lead contributions in Alumni Job Placement and Career Progression Support, driving success in activities such as the coordination of activities such as "Intake Tuesdays", collaborating with Alumni Association staff to provide resume speed reviews, mock interviews, and career consultations.
  • Develop strategies to facilitate alumni's access to employment services on an asneeded basis, connecting them with relevant job opportunities and community partners.
  • Generate and foster speaking opportunities and similar activities for alumni within the current cohort to share insights and experiences, enhancing learning and mentorship.
***Engagement and Partnerships:
  • Collaborate closely with the Alumni Council, MarComms Team, and Development Team to organize enriching alumni events and activities, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
  • Cultivate industry relationships and partnerships to provide mentorship, special engagements, and access to industry events, thereby enhancing alumni networking, professional growth opportunities
  • In effort to ensure alumni engagement is deepened and aligned with NPower Canada's pipeline development and statistics progression, establish and maintain relationships with top referral partners and networks to ensure seamless access.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to connect alumni with community referrals and partner organizations for specialized support.

Quality Assurance, Outcome Measurement and Reporting:

  • Ensure the delivery of high quality training and services that meet or exceed established standards, evaluating and improving programs as necessary.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success, participant outcomes, and the overall impact of NPower Canada's initiative
