The Inbound Team Lead will be the driving force behind planning and managing the tactical work required to make steadfast progress towards our Inbound Vision.

Key components to this role include driving consistent inbound practices across shifts and crews within Bolton DC. This includes providing leadership for all support functions within the inbound processes.

This also includes collaboration externally with Vendors to improve compliance to our vendor standards which are necessary to enable flow of merchandise from the receipt of ASN data to inventory available in location for picking.


The role will be responsible for partnering with Shift Managers, who own inbound production and the Department manager to ensure all direct labour is making changes necessary to drive continuous improvement in our inbound KPI's.

What you will do

  • Provide leadership and direction to an ISS Lead and a group of specialist and coordinators; set expectations and provide coaching, training, and feedback; support ongoing personal development of team members
  • Promote and facilitate a highperformance culture, inspiring, and encouraging positive communication and effective feedback
  • Partner with Mangers and support the AVP in defining necessary tactics to make annual progress towards the Inbound Vision for Toronto Operations
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the DC for internal and external cross functional teams.
  • Lead inbound quality initiatives with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Analyze and action potential business risks derived from vendor shipments
  • Authorize inbound quality exemption requests and debit reversal requests from vendor and SC partners
  • Continue to strengthen and build relationships with internal and external partners to ensure effective communication and process integration
  • Investigate and analyze challenges that are identified by the team members
  • Lead cross functional projects that support divisional objectives
  • Facilitate change and encourage all partners to seek out innovative approaches and solutions
  • Partner with Production Control to provide in depth analysis on the Inbound replenishment forecast and labour strategy within the production planning horizon
  • M onitor the queue and provide direction as to prioritization of daily work
  • Lead the ISS team to support productivity and quality goals
  • Conduct quarterly performance checks in's with team members and conduct annual performance reviews

What you bring

  • Prior Team Lead or Manager Experience
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years cross functional Supply Chain experience
  • 24 years' experience with Vendor Management/Partnership and collaboration required
  • Prior experience with data analysis and data mining with a high level of comfort working in PPA tables
  • Proven project management experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Postsecondary degree required
  • 3years experience within a distribution, TQM or manufacturing environment recommended
  • Knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement Processes with Lean Six Sigma Black Belt considered an asset
