    Description

    Responsible for providing overall strategic and operational direction for Materials Management and Logistics activities, including directing and managing all aspects of the company's Freight, Warehousing, Planning and Inventory regionally.

    A key goal is to optimize our organization's Materials Management and Logistics. This position closely collaborates with Plant Materials and Logistics, Operations and Finance.

    Execute projects to assist North American Plants to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the company's operation

    Responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of regional Inventory, planning and Logistics strategies & systems. T implementation and operation of CMS systems and the development of best practices in coordination with plant and other operational lead principles throughout the businesses

    Introduce improvements in planning, scheduling and inventory management processes at different plant locations. Be an effective coach and mentor to Materials/Logistics personnel at different locations on matters related to planning, scheduling Logistics

    Develops and provides operational level strategic direction for NA Materials and Logistics teams. Researches and recommends new products, processes, systems, policies, and procedures to pursue in the future

    Ensure robust programs are in place for the assessment of Customer Delivery, Freight, Warehousing, Premium charges and inventory management and logistics

    Assists in the strategic development and upgrades of system software to meet World Class Manufacturing goals

    Ensure application of established corporate financial controls by providing operating management direction and support to the implement policies, instructions, and control procedures

    inspiring, motivating and guiding purchasing

    Identify security risk and developments of strategic plans to address

    Fulfill all Health and Safety & Environmental responsibilities as identified in the HSE Management Standards, and ISO 14001 Management Systems

    Responsible for Budget preparation and planning

    Microsoft suite - Word, Excel, Project

    10+ years of experience in a senior management position or 10+ years of leadership experience with a track record of progression

    Knowledgeable of business quoting and launch processes, industry best practices, standards and performance metrics

    Must have demonstrated success in satisfying OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in a complex, competitive automotive market

    Broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning, Materials, manufacturing, purchasing, supply chain management, and Logistics

    Experience with total quality manufacturing management and continual improvement

    Hold others accountable for meeting the needs of the total business rather than optimizing the performance of only their area

    Strong planning and organizational skills
