YOU

In your role you will:

̈ Develop effective working relationships with families and the community

̈ Develop strong partnerships with a multi disciplinary team

̈ Provide non-clinical counseling and mediation

̈ Create comprehensive reports using Microsoft Office programs

̈ Remain open-minded and have the ability to build and maintain healthy, helping relationships

̈ Provide Crisis Management

̈ Offer support and guidance to youth and families

̈ Support competency skill development for all members of the family

̈ Possess the ability to develop and implement effective interventions with children, youth and families

̈ Completion of Degree or Diploma in the Human Services field

̈ Six (6) months of directly related experience in youth and/or family work

̈ Equivalencies may be considered

̈ Police Information Check; including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (from within the last 6 months)

̈ Children Services Intervention Record Check (from within the last 6 months)

̈ Valid Class 5 drivers license, current drivers abstract, reliable vehicle and auto insurance
are required
̈ Emergency First Aid-Level C CPR + AED

̈ Strong counseling, mediation, crisis intervention, program planning, leadership and communication skills

̈ Strong assessment and intervention skills; ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment

̈ Knowledge of family dynamics, addiction, domestic violence and mental health disorders

̈ Excellent knowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Agreement

̈ An understanding of Collaborative Service Delivery and Signs Of Safety are an asset


Starting Rate of Pay:
$27.90-$31.40 per hour; depending on experience and education
